The Kruger National Park offers a wide variety of accommodation, in size, facilities and visual appearance.
Accommodation in the ten main rest camps ranges from Huts
and safari tents
to 2 to 3 bed bungalows, cottages
and luxury guest houses. Camping sites for tents are provided in nine of the main rest camps.
All accommodation units are serviced daily and bedding, towels and soap are provided. Most of the units have either air-conditioning or fans.
Adapted accommodation equipped for paraplegics and other mobility impaired persons is available at most of the main rest camps.
Berg-en-Dal
The camp is situated on the bank of the Matjulu Spruit with a view over softly undulating hills to the east. On the northern and southern sides there is dry riverbeds and a dam that border the camp.
Crocodile Bridge
This small and delightful camp is situated in the South-Eastern corner of the Kruger National Park, on the bank of the Crocodile River, from which it derives its name.
Letaba
Letaba is located on a sweeping bend on the river of the same name. The camp affords a wonderful oasis from the surrounding Mopane bush with lush riverine trees providing welcome shade.
Olifants
Guests to Olifants will be exposed to an unforgettable window of Africa. The camp is situated on top of a hill towering several hundred feet over the river of the same name.
Pretoriuskop
Pretoriuskop is situated in the south-western part of the Kruger National Park. The camp lies in a hilly region with many interesting, picturesque rocky outcrops.
Punda Maria
Punda Maria lies in the northernmost part of the Kruger national Park. The camp is situated in the Sandveld region that is often described as the botanical garden of the Kruger National Park.
Lower Sabie
The rest camp is situated on the bank of a dam in the Sabie River in the southern part of the Kruger National Park, some eleven kilometres from the Mozambican border. With its large lawns and shade trees this camp is a very popular family destination.
Satara
Satara is a busy camp, and not without reason. It is situated in an excellent game viewing area, with the bush relatively open and the animals plentiful and diverse. The camp itself has a rustic charm, with the bulk of the accommodation set out in a series of circles.
Shingwedzi
Shingwedzi lies in the northern part of the park in the heart of mopane country. A scenic game drive along the Shingwedzi River in a south-easterly direction towards the Kanniedood Dam is one of the most rewarding drives in the Park.
Skukuza
Skukuza is the park’s largest rest camp and administrative headquarters. It is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. The camp is well foliaged and there are some lofty riverine trees along the river’s edge.
